How AI Responses Work

ResponseBud uses AI to generate contextual, helpful SMS replies based on:

  • Customer's message: The content of their inquiry
  • Your business settings: Name, tone, and hours
  • Conversation history: Previous messages in the thread

Customizing AI Responses

Business Name

Update your business name in Settings. This is used in all AI-generated responses to identify your business.

Communication Tone

Choose between "friendly" or "professional" tone in Settings:

  • Friendly: Casual, warm, conversational style
  • Professional: Formal, business-appropriate style

Business Hours

Set your hours of operation in Settings. The AI considers these when crafting responses, especially for scheduling-related inquiries.

Common Questions

Can I edit AI responses before they're sent?

Currently, AI responses are sent automatically. However, you can review all conversations in your dashboard and follow up manually if needed.

How does the AI maintain conversation context?

ResponseBud tracks conversation threads by phone number. Each reply considers the full conversation history to provide relevant, contextual responses.

What if the AI gives an incorrect answer?

You can view all conversations in your dashboard and send manual follow-up messages to correct any information or provide additional details.
